Data Retention Policy

This policy sets out how long Meowmbai retains different categories of data and what happens when that period ends.

Account deletion
When you delete your account:
- Your profile, username, and email are deleted within 24 hours.
- Your uploaded photos are removed from public display immediately.
- Photos are purged from storage within 7 days.
- Moderation records referencing your account are anonymised.
- Aggregated analytics data (no PII) is retained.
Content deletion
You may delete any individual post from your profile. Deletion removes the post from public view immediately. Storage purge completes within 24 hours.
Data export
You may request an export of your data at any time by emailing meowmbai.fun@gmail.com. We provide a JSON export of your account data and a ZIP of your uploaded photos within 30 days.
Legal holds
In cases of active legal proceedings or valid law enforcement requests, we may preserve data beyond its normal retention period. Such holds are logged and reviewed quarterly.
