User Reporting Policy

Meowmbai relies on its community to help keep content accurate, safe, and respectful. This page explains how to report content and what happens when you do.
What you can report
- Incorrect location - the cat pin is in the wrong area.
- Not a cat - the photo doesn't contain a cat.
- Privacy concern - an identifiable person or private location is visible.
- Copyright violation - the photo appears to belong to someone else.
- Animal harm - the image depicts animal abuse or distress.
- Spam or duplicate - the same cat is posted multiple times in the same location.
- Harassment - the caption or lore text is being used to target someone.
- Misleading information - fabricated cat names, lore, or sighting details.
- Inappropriate content - anything else that violates our Community Guidelines.
How to report
- Use the Report Content form and select the relevant category.
- Provide the URL of the content and a brief description.
- Submit - you'll receive a confirmation reference number.

What happens next
- Your report is logged and assigned a reference number.
- A moderator reviews the report, typically within 48 hours.
- If a violation is found, action is taken per our Content Removal Policy.
- You are notified of the outcome if you provided an email address.
Good faith reporting
We rely on reporters acting in good faith. Submitting false reports to target other users is itself a violation of our Community Guidelines and may result in account restriction.
Confidentiality
Your identity as a reporter is kept confidential. We do not share reporter details with the uploader of reported content.
